Annie (2014)
Annie is a young, happy foster kid who's also tough enough to make her way on the streets of New York in 2014. Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they'd be back for her someday, it's been a hard knock life ever since with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan. But everything's about to change when the hard-nosed tycoon and New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks—advised by his brilliant VP and his shrewd and scheming campaign advisor—makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in. Stacks believes he's her guardian angel, but Annie's self-assured nature and bright, sun-will-come-out-tomorrow outlook on life just might mean it's the other way around.

I feel like this movie was lacking compared to the 1982 movie. The remix of Little Girls is cringe-worthy, and I felt like Sandy's role was greatly diminished in this version of the beloved play. Although it does have nice remixes of "Tommorow", "It's a Hard Knock Life", and "I think I'm Gonna Like It Here",most of the new songs do not do justice at all to the 1982 movie, or the play. It lacked small, but important plot points that the 1982 movie, and overall, just didn't feel like all that much effort was put into it. On a positive note, the movie did have a cute final number, and I found the Movie Theater scene to actually be quite amusing. It also had a cool twist halfway through the movie. Still, this movie was very disappointing. My suggestion would be to... A: If you are a Die-Hard fan of Annie, rent it from Redbox, Netflix etc. B: Watch it when it comes on TV. This is such a good movie.Whenever Annie lives in a foster home and Mrs. Hangan is not yet married.Then Annie Is asked to come to spend a week in a mansion.Then the person who has Annie for a week wants to adopt Annie.Annie says no and said that her parents will find her one day.Mrs. Hangan then works with someone who she fell in love with to give Annie fake parents.Then the fake parents come to adopt Annie then is very excited finally person adopts her.
