Ciao Alberto (2021)
With his best friend Luca away at school, Alberto is enjoying his new life in Portorosso working alongside Massimo—the imposing, tattooed, one-armed fisherman of few words—who's quite possibly the coolest human in the entire world as far as Alberto is concerned. He wants more than anything to impress his mentor, but it's easier said than done.

- I liked Luca SSSOOOOOOO much, I was so excited when Ciao Alberto came out!
- I havent watched the movie yet but i do know the Luca story
- I was a huge fan of “Luca” and was delighted to hear that we were getting more from that world so soon. I’m delighted to report that “Ciao Alberto” didn’t jump the shark, rather it added more meaning and depth to the relationship between Alberto and Massimo, and is a must-watch for anyone who loved the original movie and wanted to see more from Portorosso. The sequel short to Luca involving Alberto in his life in Portorosso is very cute with some serious dad issues, but still has some joy into it. Ciao Alberto is the Pixar short I didn’t know I needed. In just five minutes, audiences should be delighted with a return to the colorful seaside town, Portorosso. The plot shifts from Luca to the lovable characters, Alberto and Massimo, in his absence. Yet the ❤️ of this story comes in the form of a little boy trying to win over his new male role model. And it’s a great lesson for little boys. No matter how many times they make bad choices, it doesn’t affect the love someone has for them. Now can we have a short of Luca and Giulia at school?
