This movie is one of the greatest I have ever seen! It's the perfect combination of the modern world and fairy tales. Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos are chosen to go to the land of Auradon, the place where all the heroes live. There they meet Prince Ben, the soon-to-be king of Auradon. While trying to steal the magic wand of Cinderella's fairy godmother, they realize that being good isn't as bad as they thought. But they also know their villain parents will punish them beyond belief if they fail. This fun twist on the classic fairy tales will take you on a journey you'll never forget!

Descendants was the typical Disney Channel movie. With the same spunky characters and classic plot, it was no different than the other Disney Channel movies I've seen. Of course the music was spectacular, but it followed the same frame: Girl is forced to do something she doesn't want to do. Girl meets boy. Girl falls in love with boy. Girl doesn't know who she really is. Typical, Disney. Typical. This movie would be more entertaining for younger audiences. Like other Disney movies, it included some themes that the audience might not understand fully. Ben asks Mal if she loves him, and they'd known each other for only about a week. You may say that lots of Disney cartoon movies have the same kind of theme, but using real actors and having the audience connect with the theme, this may give people the wrong message. Also, the settings could have been far more distinctive. In the Isle of the Lost, really pay attention to the town. I didn't see any other villains. Mal stated in the prologue that all of the villains had been banished to the Isle of the Lost; how come I only saw Jafar, Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Cruella Devil, and their children? Everyone else was a normal person, and why would they be banished? This just didn't really make sense, honestly.

This movie is amazing! I love this movie because Jay, Carlos, Evie and Mal all notice that they can make their own decisions, and that they don't have to be like their parents, and that they can choose who they want to be.
