Francesca "Frankie" Quinn, a private investigator in Minnesota, comes from a family with a complicated past. After several murders linked to her stepmother, Megan, Frankie struggles with fears of the future and horrors of the past. Effects of her stepmother's criminal activity result in her father stepping down as sheriff and Frankie and her fiancé, Wyn, break-up after some friction in their relationship caused by Megan Quinn. Years later, the terrors of the past still haunt Frankie when her new boyfriend, Carl is found dead. After realizing that her stepmother may have been involved in his death, Frankie agrees to team up with Wyn to find who murdered Carl. This wonderfully suspenseful movie will keep you guessing until the very end. The romance is perfectly entwined with the mystery, and the characters are complex and well-developed. From the early minutes of this movie, the viewer will be captivated by the mystery and the stories behind the characters. Frankie Quinn, played by Mallory Jansen, is a courageous and confident heroine that gives the viewer confidence that she will solve the case. Happy watching!
