- Mr. Slavinski: Darling, my shrinking machine really works. Mrs. Slavinski: That's great, honey. How do you know? Mr. Slavinski: Honey... Mrs. Slavinski: Yes? Mr. Slavinski: I just shrunk the kids. Mrs. Slavinski: Oh no!!!! Honey, I Shrunk The Kids is a clever and funny family-friendly movie about Mr. Wayne Slavinski and his many differences with their neighbors, the Thompsons. Wayne Slavinski ends up shrinking both the Slavinski kids and the Thompson kids. The children bond and learn their similarities through the adventure and the parents realize what is most important in raising their children...love and care.
