- Moana was POWERFUL, STUNNING, and BEAUTIFUL! This is one of the BEST MOVIES Disney has ever made! This movie has jaw-dropping, magnificent animation, emotional soundtrack by native Polynesians and Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda, charming humor (includes jokes parents and older kids can appreciate), and engaging characters. Taking place in the Pacific Ocean in the islands of Oceania, the plot is easy to follow, predictable at times, but make no mistake: Moana will take you on an incredible journey across the ocean with the demigod Maui, and her chicken Heihei to restore the lost heart of Te Fiti and save her island from destruction. The climax of the movie is so MOVING and BREATHTAKING, I got CHILLS (after crying, haha)! Moana teaches you a lesson of embracing who you are, believing in yourself, and having the courage to try again. The whole audience was enthralled by the GORGEOUS VISUALS and the story; they laughed, cried, and at the end everyone applauded such a masterpiece (in music and visual storytelling), the likes of which I haven't seen since the The Lion King. Ever since seeing it, I've been listening to the soundtrack on repeat and I will definitely be getting it on Blu-Ray when the time comes. Masterful and awe-inspiring, you won't regret seeing Moana!
