If you've read the books, like I have, this movie is a huge let down. It stays pretty close to the book's plot all up 'til the end. Then the movie takes a nosedive into awfulness. I don't think they can even make another movie, it was that off!
I didn't want to hate, but you my friend are absolutely correct.
