The Hunger Games (2012)

Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. Part twisted entertainment, part government intimidation tactic, the Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains. Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she’s ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love. The world will be watching.

very good movie if you like a little bit of action and a little bit of romance or in the words of Adam Sandler a romaction story. However if you read the book and are looking forward to a movie just like it, you won't really like it. Most of its true to the story but there are some major parts that they just put in there.

This is a great movie but still I have to say not as good as the books. I don't recommend this movie to the younger kids because there is some cursing, blood, and killing a.k.a people easily frightened or under the age of 10 shouldn't watch it.

This movie is awesome and action-packed. Katniss Evergreen with Peeta Mellark are chosen at the REAPING as representatives for their district (District 12). They go to the Capitol and fight to the Death as they compete against other Districts from 1-12.

In this amazing theatrical performance Katniss Everdeen decides to step in for her sister Primrose, and fight in the ultimate TV show, The Hunger Games. During an interview Peeta Mellark talks his undefined love for Katniss, which creates the image of star crossed lovers, the love that was never meant to be. in the Arena came many times where Katniss saved Peetas life, some without him ever knowing (Thresh!), but when announced that there will be a chance for two(!!!!!) challengers to make it out of the Arena alive, as long as they are from the same district, what will Katniss do to find Peeta, and keep him alive?
