This book was amazing. It kept me guessing in every time. The cover was really dated and I always wondering I living in the story when I reading it. Life was very exciting for Jonathan when he lived with his con-artist father. But now he has to stay with his grandparents while his dad had to hides from his angry customers, and life is tough. This is why it is hard to make friends when you are scamming people. I benefit a lesson from this book we can’t deceive other people because you will become a cheater which people will not trust you anymore. I recommend to all people because this book was a good way to demonstrate how people change.Over 8 years agoallenj20 added a book review.
The animal farm is a great to read. I love the way the author describe the characters and the communication makes me fit into the story, so I can imagine the event in the real life. Animal farm tells the simple and tragic story of what happen when the oppressed farm animal rebel the farmer and tried to rule the farm themselves, they wanted created an equal and happy farm. The story is related to my life some part, for example, the people dissatisfied the government system and tried to rebel them. I recommend this book for everyone because I think everyone should understand what the purpose of people rebel.Over 8 years agoallenj20 has read this book.

Maniac Magee this book swing between happiness and sorrow that work in many plot. Maniac Magee is very excitable boy, he confront racism in the small town. He tried to find a home where there is none and plan to pacify tension between these two races of the town. The plan of Maniac Magee begins, as he not only changes the lives of a racially divided small town with his amazing and crazy, but he also runs away from living with his unhappy and aunt and uncle for eight years. The main character had some personality is relative to me, for instance, I also is very excitable boy I try to make anything change I don’t accept in my life. The story is exciting, and the ideas are thought provoking. I think everyone should read this book.Almost 9 years agoallenj20 added a book review.
This book is a touched story. In Mississippi in the discriminate years of the 1900's. This family, like many other families, is suffering from the unfair treatment from the whites. Cassie is a black girl who is completely innocent to the racism her mother and her father suffer everyday. It is also the story of Cassie, an independent girl who discovers over the course of an important year why having land of their own is so significant to her family. The racial tension and horrible events experienced by young Cassie, her family, and her neighbors cause Cassie to grow up and discover the reality of her surrounding. I recommend this book for everyone because the book is state a lot of information of racism.Almost 9 years agoallenj20 added a book review.
The giver is a wonderful book. I loved The Giver because the plot was very creative, the theme was magnificent, and the setting was vivid. The theme of this book is clearly represented: freedom, the right to make your own choices. There are designated spots for everything. The setting helped develop the plot and theme. The story is about Jonas lives in a perfect society where is no suffering, poverty, war, and delinquency. Everything is in order and in control. The people have no worries and cares because the community which everyone and everything are equal and same. The book convey to me as a reminder me about that there is no better world than the one we live in. The giver I really believe that every should read.Almost 9 years agoallenj20 has read this book.
